WHAT ARE "Light Lenses?

Our Light Lenses are colorful “backlit” designs that are made to lay in a standard 24” x 48” fluorescent ceiling fixture with a “drop-down door” opening. Actual size of artwork is 22.375” x 46.5”.

Will the lens darken the room?

Depending on the design, there will be some reduction in light from your fixture. We recommend that these light lenses be used with 4 bright white or daylight bulb fixtures for maximum color vibrance.

Does the lens replace the acrylic plastic in the light fixture?

These Lenses are not made of rigid plastic and are NOT designed to replace the acrylic light diffuser in your light fixture. The are designed to lay on top of the plastic diffuser.

How durable are the light lenses?

With normal care, the lenses should last for many years. If cleaning is required, use a slightly damp clean cloth to lightly wipe the surface of the image. However, because of the many variables involved, we cannot guarantee how long the lens will last.

How hard is it to install the lenses?

Installing the light lenses is a very simple procedure. Complete instructions are included with your purchase and you can see step by step installation instructions here.

My light fixtures are not a standard size, can the lenses be trimed?

Yes, the lenses are a plastic back-lit material and can be trimmed with a utility knife or razor knife. If your light fixtures are a greatly differnent size, ie. 1' x 4', custom sizes can be made. Contact our customer support for information..

Can I have lenses made from my own pictures?

Yes, as long as your pictures meet the requirements which are shown on our artwork specifactions page.

I'm in a hurry, how soon can I get my "Light Lenses"?

Light lenses are normally shipped with 48 hours of receipt of orders. They are shipped UPS ground. If you need rush handling and shipping please contact our customer service at 800-962-0956. (return to questions)
